Executive Function: Small Group Facilitation Grid- This tool is intended for learners identified as needing support in one or more executive function skills (via Executive Function Assessment or otherwise). Use the grid to identify focus skills to be developed. Similar to the Executive Function Assessment (EFA), which is per learner, this allows you to take a snapshot of a small group or cluster of learners.
Questions to Consider:
How could you model this with your staff so they could have a clearer understanding of how to facilitate with learners?
How could your staff use this in supporting learners develop and strengthen EF skills they are struggling with?
How could your staff use this in supporting learners in identifying EF skills they are successful with?
Student Persistence Cards- Use these cards to promote concentration, reflection, progress monitoring, grit and many other sub skills that can be categorized as "Inhibitory Control" or "Self Awareness" in terms of executive function.
